Editing a Triggered Email

Automate follow up with your most engaged and interested customers. Save time by automatically sending another email when someone clicks or opens your email campaign, eliminating the need to compile separate lists and schedule additional email campaigns.

You have to create an email campaign and publish it before you can add a Triggered email under it.

To Edit a Triggered Email:

1. Go to Email Campaigns on the main navigation menu.
2. Under one of your existing email campaigns select the Show Triggered Email Campaigns
3. A list of Triggered emails with be displayed with the following:

Thumbnail – Image thumbnail of your email.
Name & Subject – Name and subject of your email.
Type – The trigger type for the email.
Active – Current status if the Triggered email is On or Off. Select here to change turn Trigger email On or Off.
Configure – Select this to edit the Triggered email.

You can skip the Configure Triggers and do this step later if you want to skip ahead to creating the email content.

Trigger Types When Clicked:

• All Links:  Most commonly used, this will trigger for all links in your email.
• All Future Messages: Trigger for any emails that are sent after you create the trigger.
• All Existing Messages: Trigger for any emails that were created before you created the trigger. You can select from individual emails.
• Selected Links: Chooser particular links that you want to use as triggers.
• Enter a link:  Enter links or browse for links in previous messages.
• All Future Messages:  Trigger for any emails that are sent after you create the trigger.
• All Existing Messages:  Trigger for any emails that were created before you created the trigger. You can select from individual emails.
• Advanced Rules: Include only links that match a set of rules and patterns.
• Enter a link or partial link for testing rules:  This helps you test your rule will work.
 Link URL:  Enter the link URL or partial link URL.  Select the + or – Icon to add or delete rules.

Matching Logic:

• Contains
• Doesn’t Contain
• Matches Exactly
• Doesn’t Match Exactly
• Begins With
 Ends With
• Matches Pattern
• Doesn’t Match Pattern

You can change the matching logic to view an example of the rules.

• All Future Messages:  Trigger for any emails that are sent after you create the trigger.

7. Optionally, you can choose Send After to send after a certain amount of time has passed.
8. Optionally, you can turn on the Google Analytics Integration feature. Turn this setting on to integrate your email statistics with your Google Analytics account.

You must create a Google Analytics account separately through Google.

9. Optionally, you can turn on the Authentication feature. Turn this setting on to authenticate your emails and increase deliverability with a DomainKeys/DKIM signature.

In some email clients, such as Outlook, your email may appear to be from us “On Behalf Of” when authentication is enabled. To remove the “on behalf of” turn on your DKIM and domain authentication here. If you need assistance setting up DKIM or DMARC contact our support. Regardless of this setting we automatically authenticate for these email recipients domains in your contact list. (@gmail.com, *@yahoo.*, *@rocketmail.com, *@sbcglobal.net, *@ovi.com, *@ymail.com, *@lamitca.com, *@msn.com, *@hotmail.*, *@live.*, *@verifier.port25.com, *@cox. )

10. Optionally, you can select the “Show in Public Areas” feature. Turn this setting on to include the email campaign on your public emails page.
11. Select Save and Continue and you will be taken to the first Step 1 of the Email Studio.
